  • PTSO quotas to Youth Combined Regional Championships (Quotas Y): Each province and territory will start with a fixed number of quota spots for the Regional Championships for each category. The fixed number of quotas will be determined at least 5 months ahead of the Regional event based on capacity. Unused quota in this category will be re-allocated to the other provinces in the same region.
  • Regional Quotas to Youth Combined National Championships (Top Z): Top finishers in each category at the Regional Championships will advance to the National Championships. Exact number of spots available will be determined at least 5 months prior to Nationals based on facility capacity.
  • Each province has autonomy to decide how they will fill these quotas. CEC highly recommends the hosting of a fair competition to qualify the athletes in an equitable manner.
